S.M.F., Inc. is an irregular route motor carrier, serving the 48 contiguous states and Ontario under both common and contract operating authorities. S.M.F., Inc. has been in existence since 1952. It is owned and operated by the family of the company’s founder, the late John J. Dooley.

Meeting the distinct transportation needs of each customer is the service goal of S.M.F. Our customers are provided equipment and personnel dedicated, often exclusively, to meeting the service requirements of that company. S.M.F. specializes in designing "just-in-time" programs, allowing companies to better utilize financial resources and space previously designated for inventory. Working with each customer to provide prompt and efficient solutions to transportation problems sets S.M.F. apart from other carriers.

Certificates of Insurance and copies of Operating Authorities are available. Financial information and tariff publications are available upon request.

Shipper references will be furnished upon request.

Expedited Service
In order to assist our customers with their full range of transportation needs, S.M.F. offers expedited service. Shipments designated as "expedite" receive exclusive use of equipment, guaranteed pickup times and location updates as requested by the customer. Rates are very reasonable and are available upon request.

Equipment
Available equipment includes vans and flat-beds; specialized equipment including refrigerated units and air-ride drop frames can be made available in some cases. S.M.F. has 6 offices spread throughout 4 states which can be contacted for specific equipment availability.
